Why do your files need to be repaired?
Corrupted file paths leading to memory read errors are inevitable during normal hard drive or NAS usage. These errors can affect the playback of stored media files. DVDFab Media Recover scans for these errors in both the original and copied files, including those created by DVDFab Copy, and can fix them once they are found.
What types of errors can be fixed?
File errors or corruption can affect normal video functionality or prevent playback. Fixing these errors allows video files and file functions to function normally.
Structure errors
If file structures are incomplete, this causes hardware players to strictly search for these directory structures and the lack of this structure leads to these files not being able to play.
Information errors
Problems with index files including index.bdmv, playlists or clipinf files. These information files are important index files when playing BD and UHD sources. Corruption in these files prevents normal playback.
Video playback errors
Playback errors in certain M2TS/VOB files can result in freezing, out of sync, a blurry or black screen or errors.
BDJ Java protection
If the Java protection has not been removed, this will prevent Blu-ray menu navigation from playing normally.
IFO file errors
Problems in the index.IFO files. The IFO file is an important part of the DVD index file. If the file is corrupted, it can prevent normal navigation or playback.

Smart repair
To speed up the scanning and repair process, the main movie file is located and verified directly during the scanning process. This shortens the scanning time while ensuring the file is available as quickly as possible.
Safe repair
Once an error or corrupted file is found, Media Recover first creates a backup of the original file source in case something unexpected happens during the repair process.
3 scanning modes that prevent your content from being corrupted
DVDFab Media Recover for Blu-ray offers three different scanning modes to prevent your content from being corrupted. You can choose one according to your needs.
Fast scan
The quick scan checks whether the file directories are complete, whether the playlist index file is corrupted and it also checks whether the Java protection has been removed.
Deep scan
Based on the results of the Quick Scan, the Deep Scan scans all files (m2ts or vob files). This scan takes longer to complete.
Custom scan
Custom Scan is a good option for customers who want to manually select which folders to scan. It’s a very efficient mode if you know exactly where the files you want to scan are located.
Instructions
There are four simple steps you can follow to recover any corrupted or lost video files.
Step 1
Select a Scan Mode
Select a mode according to your needs in the main window. Then load the sources you want to scan.
Step 2
Start the Scanning Process
The scanning process will begin once you load the sources. Media Recover will list all the sources to be repaired.
Step 3
Select the Sources to Repair
Check the box of the sources you want to repair and they will be repaired automatically. Then you can play them with Player 6 or open their directories.
Step 4
Check the Data Summary of All Scanned Sources
If necessary, you can go back to the main interface where the data summary of all scanned sources is displayed.
